That belief is why KySports was created.

KySports is more than a nonprofit organization. We are a community dedicated to opening doors for young people across Kentucky through sports, education, and media. While sports have the power to inspire teamwork, discipline, and leadership, they also create opportunities to develop valuable skills behind the scenes, skills that can lead to lifelong careers.

Our mission is to empower Kentucky’s youth by providing hands-on experiences in sports broadcasting, photography, videography, journalism, and live production. Through mentorship, internships, scholarships, and real-world learning opportunities, we help students discover their talents while preparing them for success in college, the workforce, and their communities.

We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to tell stories that matter. Whether they’re operating a camera on the sidelines, interviewing athletes after a game, editing highlights, or producing a live broadcast, they’re gaining confidence, technical skills, and professional experience that can shape their future.

But our work extends beyond media.

KySports is committed to strengthening communities by creating opportunities that bring people together through athletics. We partner with schools, coaches, families, businesses, and community organizations to provide programs that inspire teamwork, character development, creativity, and leadership.

As we grow, our vision is to expand opportunities across Kentucky through educational programs, scholarships, internships, community events, and partnerships that help young people reach their full potential.
